  1. INSTALLATION:

  3. A Jewish Mother's Cookbook(TM) requires an IBM or Compatible PC
  4. with a minimum of 512K RAM and a hard disk drive.
  5. Basically it will run on almost any computer !

  8. IMPORTANT FOR WINDOWS USERS:
  9.  
  10. If you try to run the program but get an error message such as..
  11.     "Not enough memory"
  12. You must change your CONFIG.SYS file.
  13.  
  14. Look for a line in the CONFIG.SYS file that sets the emm386.exe
  15. such as ...
  16.         DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe noems x=d400-d7ff
  17.  
  18. Change the "noems" portion to read "1024"
  19. such as ...
  20.         DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe 1024 x=d400-d7ff
  21.  
  22. Notice the before and after.
  23.  
  24. Before        DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe noems x=d400-d7ff
  25. After        DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe 1024  x=d400-d7ff
  26.  
  27. The only change is noems becomes 1024!
  28.  
  29. This will correct the problem and will not affect any other program.
